Pictures in the Stars

 

A visual spectacle, involving original music, projection, movement and spoken word based on the themes of astronomy, constellations and young people’s dreams and aspirations for the future. Created and performed by young people from North Glasgow.

 

For 4 days in August we created a new Theatre Space in Royston: our own 'Millennium' Dome! We rehearsed for two weeks and performed 5 times in the Dome.

 

At the start of May we stayed at Loch Lomond Youth Hostel and we took part in drama, music and design workshops… with star gazing on Saturday night through Bob, the astronomer's telescope...

 

As part of the production there was also a Poster design project, design week and music week, as well as several story development days...and then the final result: the story of a girl on a journey looking for her dad's star…
