The Riddle of Sir Roger
In Summer 2007 Toonspeak's young people travelled back in time to solve "The Riddle of Sir Roger". In conjunction with Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum Toonspeak's members devised a show based on the exhibits in the Museum. The show was rehearsed at Kelvingroveand performed in St Paul's Church Blackhill, the Rainbow Hall in Royston and then for 2 nights in Kelvingrove. The show was seen by over 250 people and was hailed as a great success by all. Hurrah!
"I liked being somwhere i'd never been before and liked feeling like a part of the place - doing the show makes you feel part of the history of the place."

Show Development Day
Working at Kelvingrove Museum we spent the day going round the museum taking photos, filming things and accosting members of the public to be in our improvised sketches. What fun!
Design Week
Making big heads was the name of the game this week. This week the young people worked with professional artists to develop most of the props and some of the costume pieces used in the final show.
Film Week
Working with a professional video artist we spent lots of time learning how to film things properly using professional camera equipment, and then learning how to edit the film so that it could be used as the set for the show.
"thank you Toonspeak for helping us understand filming and editing and for letting us use your cameras! We enjoyed it very much."
