Festival of the Imagination

The Festival of the Imagination was made possible by North Glasgow Arts and Regeneration Network, and was managed by Toonspeak. It was funded by Glasgow City Council, Make a Splash, Generations Working Together, Awards for All and was sponsored by North Glasgow Housing Association. As well as many other supporters through individual projects, including Big Lottery Young People's Fund, Glasgow Life and Robertson Trust.
For one week only Springburn Park was taken over by a tented village of dreams. Over 4000 people visited the Big Top, Music Tent, Exhibition Tent, Star Shade Chill Out Area and Storytelling Yurt and got their imaginations working overtime!

There were over 50 workshops, over 15 performances in the Big Top, 5 ceilidhs, 3 tea dances, storytelling, music, circus, relaxation, poetry, a silent disco, teddy bears picnics, some imaginative crazy bicycles and much more.....Click here for the full schedule of events.
The Festival was open from 12-9pm each day and everything was completely FREE.

Healthy, yummy food was provided in the Food Tent by Cafe Sejuiced
A huge thanks to everyone who was involved in making the Festival possible, especially those who gave up their time for free and those who cam along and tried something creative for the first time.
